Steps in planning a Career

It was said in the previous entry about the advantage of planning a career that it will be a practical action in facilitating success if an individual will consider being open-minded in evaluating himself or herself as well as accept constructive criticism from others. Here are some basic steps in planning a career or evaluating oneself to improve a career:
1. Know your skills and talents. Try to evaluate yourself about the things that you can or cannot do. It is like you are to undergo a self-test wherein you will sort out your strengths from your weaknesses.
2. Applying the strength in a certain field. This means that you will have to try to work in a low kind of work where you know you can handle it very well. If the result will turn out to be excellent then you can go further. But if it’s not, you should try it again. Besides, no died in trying for the second time.
3. Knowing your own self profoundly. A person will not be able to have a successful career if he himself cannot understand his individuality. All of us are born with unique talents and skills. If a person would figure it out, then he can go to the next level where peak of success is at stake.
