On Career Choice and Temperament
Categories: Career Advice, Career Research | December 22nd, 2009 | by Administrator | no commentsCareer experts say a person’s temperament can greatly affect his career choice. Upon learning that, it somehow made sense to me why a friend of mine who had a short-temper back then, didn’t took the advice of his family to pursue a teaching career.
If you come to think about it, temperament is also a basis of one’s ability to handle stress. In the workplace, stress is inevitable and it depends on the nature of your job how much stress you are likely to experience.
Extraverts and introverts are on the opposite poles when it comes to temperament. That is why according to a study, extraverts are career generalist and introverts are career specialist.
