Setting aside these categories, 25 books manage to outshine the rest. These books are considered classics backed up by their popularity, prominent reviews and academic use.

Occupying the 25th position is “The Wealth of Nations” (1991) by Adam Smith. Chester I. Barnard makes the list through his book “The Functions of the Executive” (1968) in the 24th position. “The Principles of Scientific Management” (1911) by Frederick Winslow Taylor, “The Human Side of Enterprise” (1960) by Douglas McGregor, and “Strategy and Structure” (1962) by Alfred D. Chandler occupies the 23rd, 22nd and 21st ranks, respectively.

The list goes on to include ”Organizational Culture and Leadership” (1992) – 20th; “The Wisdom of Crowds” (2004) – 19th; “The World is Flat” (2005) – 18th; “Barbarians at the Gate” (1990) – 17th; “My Years With General Motors” (1963) -16th; “The Fifth Discipline” (1990) – 15th; “The E-Myth Revisited” (1985) – 14th; “The Tipping Point” (2000) – 13th; “Competing for the Future” (1994) – 12th, and “Good to Great” (2001) occupying 11th place.. Figuring impressively in the list are “Out of Crisis” (1982) – 10th; “Reengineering the Corporation” (1993) – 9th; “Built to Last” (1994) – 8th; “The Practice of Management” (1954) – 7th; and “Competitive Strategy” (1980) on the 6th place.

Comprising the top five in the list of the Top 25 Business Books are “The Habits of Highly Effective People” (1989) by Stephen R. Covey – 5th; “The One-Minute Manager” (1981) by Kenneth H. Blanchard and Spencer Johnson – 4th; “How to Win Friends and Influence People” (1937) by Dale Carnegie -3rd; “The Innovator’s Dilemma” (1997) by Clayton M. Christensen – 2nd; and finally “In Search of Excellence: Lessons from America’s Best-Run Companies (1982) by Thomas J. Peters and Robert H. Waterman, Jr. occupying the top position. It describes the basic principles of management used by 43 companies categorized as excellent. The list just shows that the best business books are determined by the relevance of its contents regardless of the period it was made.

Learning is indeed a very complex word that means to gain knowledge. Actually, learning is a continuous process wherein every day serves to be another day of new lessons. Even a small experience in which someone gained knowledge upon with is another way to define learning. As we grow older and older, we are all subjected to learning more things. In the world of civilized people, learning is a formal way of gaining knowledge in order to get a good and well compensated job. If a person needs more knowledge, then it is not a crime to continue education even at an old age. Masteral Degree or Doctorate Degree is now at an easy access. The answer is online learning. It provides the same quality as classroom based learning offers. Having the continual education gives you the edge to have the job at professional level. Being the boss is a fulfillment in which it could not be put aside. If you will have all of the required qualifications such as skills and tactics, including either Masteral or Doctorate Degree, you can be a candidate for promotion or be the boss in a company that receives a high compensation rate.
