Who doesn’t love shopping? What’s even better is that you are paid to shop? That is Secret shopping or mystery shopping.
As a secret shopper you are the hired by companies to go into their stores and assess the customer relations of their staff, the overall appearance of the shop. Also to identify what needs improvement. They can also advise you to purchase something to test the quality of their products. You usually have to stay in the store for at least 30 minutes to be able to evaluate everything.
After your visit you need to do a report on what you have observed. Usually they will provide guidelines on what you have to take note of and what they want you to do. Some would also include questionnaires to make it easier. Your report must be accurate and honest.
To become a mystery shopper, you just need to be a keen observer and have an eye for details.
A good memory would also help as you would need to remember names and other important details.
Once you start doing mystery shopping, you’ll get the hang of it as more projects come your way. It will also be a source of additional income on doing something you enjoy.
